Phase 3:

Status:

In this phase, organizational awareness across departments has been achieved and formal training has begun. Your PBS Leadership Team is in its final stages of developing the PBS Action Plan, which is partially in place. Tier support teams are trying out and testing PBS implementation strategies and staff are gaining knowledge. Data collection and evaluation are being tested with preliminary data points. This phase includes trial and error across the organization, which will help inform changes to the PBS Action Plan.

Strategies:

  • Finish developing the PBS Action Plan and select implementation strategies to be tested.
  • Build readiness to use the program or practice the program steps through training.
  • Test some implementation strategies (PBS supports and interventions) out in the field.
  • Decide how to monitor, evaluate, and report on PBS implementation quality (effectiveness and fidelity).
